NovTek CHB Plaster 4-in-1 is a ready-to-use polymer-modified product for non-structural applications on concrete hollow blocks (CHB). It is specially formulated for CHB laying, filling and EXTERIOR plastering with improved bonding strength, compressive strength, anti-sag and water repellent properties.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Remove all dust, oil or traces of foreign materials. Dampen the dry concrete before application of NovTek CHB Plaster 4-in-1

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS

Add 6.5 -7 liters of water to 25 kg of NovTek CHB Plaster 4-in-1. Mix thoroughly for several
minutes until desired homogenous paste is achieved. Let it stand for about 15 minutes and
then mix again. NovTek CHB Plaster 4-in-1 paste will remain usable for approximately 3-4 hours after mixing.

APPLICATION

As CHB Laying and filling
1. Prepare the layout of the CHB wall to be erected.
2. Dampen the CHBs and apply the NovTek CHB Plaster 4-in-1 onto the foundation or substrate by using a trowel.
3. Immediately lay and position of each CHB onto the mortar and tap the CHB downward slightly to embed it to the mortar.
4. Once the first layer of CHBs is completed, fill the CHB cells with the mortar and apply a bed of mortar along the top of the laid CHBs in preparation for the laying of subsequent layer of CHBs.
5. Repeat the process of laying and filling of CHBs using the NovTek CHB Plaster 3-in-1 until the CHB wall is fully erected.

As CHB Plastering
1. The CHB wall must free from oil, grease, dirt and the surface should be slightly damp before NovTek CHB Plaster 4-in-1 can be applied.
2. Directly apply between 15 to 20 mm plaster on the CHB wall using a trowel.
3. If necessary, apply the second coat of plaster when the first coat is about to set.
4. Using an aluminum or wooden straightedge tool, immediately level the applied plaster to smooth out the uneven wall.
5. Sprinkle or spray a small amount of water over the applied plaster and with a steel trowel, smoothen the surface in circular motion.
